The Biotech Consultancy Services was established in 2019.
Our principal area of expertise focuses on combining applied biotechnology with strategic business management consultancy and change management into the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Headquartered in the Netherlands, the company was founded by Carola Jüstel.

For almost 25 years, Carola has been directly involved in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical businesses. With considerable international leadership experience in Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden, encompassing CEO/general management positions for more than 10 years as well as responsibility for R&D, Production, Quality (QC/QA), HR, Regulatory and Finance, Carola has led start-up biotech companies successfully into grown up pharmaceutical companies with full-scale product development into market leading positions. She was co-inventor and steered the development of Octapharma´s  recombinant human blood clotting factor FVIII Nuwiq™, which was approved by FDA and EMA and is commercialized worldwide. Furthermore, she was responsible for a greenfield build-up and operation of a new pharmaceutical research and GMP production facility together with merger and relocation of two R&D and production sites in Sweden and Germany.

Carola graduated in Biotechnology in Germany and holds an Executive Master of Management and Organisation from TIAS Business University in the Netherlands and followed the AMP- Management program at INSEAD.

Carola is now engaged as CEO with Syram B.V. in the Netherlands.
